  Not the greatest food. Portions were generous but lacked flavor. Nothing special about the special fried rice other than the price of $9.60. It lacked flavor other than burnt ham, Chow mein was close to soup it was that wet. Very bland flavor wise. The honey chicken was also quite bland and lacking flavor. We bought take away based on the excellent reviews but now wonder if the reviewers were family or friends. Quite disappointed to be honest.

  Not very flexible with orders on the menu. I love their omelets & most times lately "its no, not tonight". If you cant get what you want go somewhere else. If kempsey Chinese cant suply a meal, then they need to take it of the menu and stop wasting ppls time.

  Considering this is one of Kempsey's oldest restaurants it should be better. There was a time when this place was the benchmark for good food but sadly it has deteriorated in recent times. Perhaps the owners are losing interest after so many years. In my view it rates at the bottom of Kempsey Chinese restaurants
